A house design is a conversation. Share a link and you are in a live room: co-editing with an automatic turn wheel — claimed on the first change, released four seconds after the last — presence you can see, and browser-to-browser voice for up to eight people, with no audio through the server. Roles decide what a link can do: a viewer writes nothing, enforced by the server; an editor can be scoped to areas — the outside, the inside, the garden, colours & finishes anywhere, light & weather. Areas are judged client-side against what a change actually touches; nothing reads a sender's label.
Open the Share door, choose viewer or editor, and attach areas if it is an editor link.
The room opens on the same design for everyone — one URL, no downloads.
Voice runs browser to browser on the mesh — up to 8 seats.
The wheel claims on your first change and releases 4 seconds after your last.
Share & co-edit is one of fifteen feature pages covering what ships in Builder today — every claim here maps to a shipped, verified feature. The list below is the concrete surface:
No. Viewer links write nothing, and that is enforced by the server — the client being honest is not the security model. Editors get the turn wheel, and if you attach areas, changes outside them do not land.
Five scopes an editor link can carry: the outside, the inside, the garden, colours & finishes anywhere, and light & weather. An empty area list means the whole design. Each change is judged client-side against what it actually touches — an editor cannot relabel an edit to sneak past the fence.
Up to eight, on a WebRTC voice mesh that connects browsers directly — audio never passes through the server. Switch the mic off and the track is stopped outright, not disabled, so there is nothing to unmute by accident.
Keep reading the tour, or jump back to the Explore hub for all fifteen.
No install, no plugin — a house builds itself the moment the page opens.
