Pick the role
Viewer writes nothing — enforced by the server. Editor can change the design. Nobody gets a "maybe".
Rooms · Roles · Voice
Share a link and you share a live room on castomapi-live: the same design, the same sun, everyone's edits landing as they happen. Roles decide who can write, areas decide where, a turn wheel decides when — and WebRTC voice carries the conversation while you walk the house together.
Live rooms
A share link opens the live room, not a copy. Edits land while you watch; the sun moves for everyone at once. Presence is in every view — an orbiting peer shows · viewing, a walking peer walks the plan with you.
One pen at a time. The wheel is claimed on the first change and released 4 seconds after the last — nobody overwrites nobody.
Avatars stream at 12 Hz with the name over the head. Shirt colour derives from the account id — the same person wears the same shirt on every screen.
Walk animation is driven by observed motion. A peer on a bad connection walks slowly — never skates across the plot.
A share link carries a role and, for editors, the areas of the design they may touch. "Viewer" is not a promise the client makes; it is a fact the server enforces.
Viewer writes nothing — enforced by the server. Editor can change the design. Nobody gets a "maybe".
Editor shares carry areas: the outside, the inside, the garden, colours & finishes anywhere, light & weather. Leave them empty and the share covers the whole design.
Areas are judged client-side against what a change actually touches — nothing reads a sender's label. Move a tree from the garden into the hall and the garden area doesn't vouch for you.
WebRTC voice mesh, browser-to-browser — no audio through the server — up to 8 people. Mic off means the track is stopped, not disabled.
The turn wheel
Co-editing needs an arbiter. Builder's is automatic: the turn wheel is claimed on the first change and released 4 seconds after the last. No "start editing" ceremony, no lock menus.
Start moving a wall and you hold the wheel. Everyone sees who holds it, live in the room.
Stop changing and the wheel frees itself. The next person just starts — no handoff to click.
Ops carry whole document sections (encode = serializeDocument). A change lands complete or not at all — no torn walls, no half-roofs.
The voice mesh is WebRTC, browser-to-browser. Audio never touches the server. Up to 8 people can talk in a room — an architect, a couple and a builder on one call, standing in the kitchen they're arguing about.
Browser-to-browser voice. No audio relay, no recording, nothing stored server-side.
The mesh holds up to 8 people. Join from the Share door — the mic track starts only when you do.
Muting stops the track instead of disabling it — the browser genuinely stops sending, and everyone sees the mic go dark.
Agree out loud while the change is on screen. The room thread keeps the written record; voice keeps it human.
Presence
You never co-edit with a cursor icon. Peers in a room are people — 21 distinct character models with a name over the head and a shirt that stays with the account.
Viewer or editor, areas or whole design, voice included. Free to start.
