Cut it open.Read the plan.

A design is only as good as it is legible. Builder ships the technical views that make it legible: an editorial cross-section through a clipping plane, interior placement ghosting, layer toggles, the grid — and render-quality tiers for when the reading needs beauty.

The easy explanation

The building already knows what it is.

The cross-section is a clipping plane you slide through the building — an editorial view, not a copy. Nothing is rebuilt, nothing exported: the section is the design, still live, seen open. Interior ghosting, layer toggles and the grid read the rest.

"Slide the plane past the whole house south wing — rooms, lintels and the stair stay live on the page." the section is a view — edit through it, undo it whole
01
Cross-section

One clipping plane, editorial by intent: read the build-up without touching the geometry.

02
Interior ghosting

Placement previews ghost inside rooms — legality is checked geometrically, so nothing lands inside a wall.

03
Layer toggles

Roof off. Walls on. Storeys separated. The document never changes — only the view.

04
Grid & tiers

The grid sets out the plan; four render tiers — low to ultra (2× supersampled) — trade polish for pace while you read.

Views that answer questions

Read it, then change it.

Every technical view is the same live document seen differently — nothing is a frozen copy. Undo spans all of it: Ctrl+Z on any change, scoped and repeatable.

  • Cross-section for buildability

An editorial view made for reading the building — openings, storeys and slab edges, in the cut.

  • Ghosting for fit

See the piece in the room before it commits; placement legality is checked geometrically.

  • Layers for structure

Read walls without the roof; read the plan without the furniture.

  • Daylight that behaves

Every daylit opening carries a RectAreaLight into the room — the section shows rooms that light correctly, not glow.

Feature · Technical views

A section you can edit through.

The clipping plane is a view, the ghost is a preview, the layers are toggles — the design underneath never moves, and the undo covers everything.

What you get, plain.

  • Editorial cross-section — one clipping plane, geometry untouched
  • Interior placement ghosting — previews checked against real walls, ceilings and floors
  • Layer toggles — roof, storeys, furniture: read what you need
  • Grid for setting out — the plan stays honest to the plot
  • Four render-quality tiers: low / medium / high / ultra (2× supersampled)
  • Interior daylight solved per opening — rooms light correctly instead of glowing uniformly
  • Undo over all of it — Ctrl+Z scoped, Ctrl+Y forward

"The section stopped being a drawing you maintain the day it became a view you slide."

— cross-section, by construction

Read the building.
Then change it.

Technical views are part of the editor. Same document, same undo.
